Formerly of Lothian buses

When Ribble marketed some of its depots to Blazefield Holdings in 2001, two new companies named Burnley & Pendle and Lancashire United were formed. Lancashire United inherited the routes around Blackburn and Accrington including the trunk services (225) Bolton to Clitheroe and (152) Preston to Burnley.

New vehicles were quickly ordered to replace the ageing Ribble buses.

Blazefield vehicles are always extremely well presented, and Lancashire United is no exception. Their Wright bodied Volvos certainly create an excellent impression in Blackburn and are proven to last the distance.
